About Me

My passions outside of teaching - or my interests that spill into my teaching - include spending time in nature through hiking and even the occasional horseback ride. I've been to incredible Michigan places such as Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore in the Upper Peninsula. I also love cats; I have three that are adopted. Finally, I love reading, as it is a window to a never-ending world of knowledge and inspiration.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Mathematics Education with a minor in physics education. I have also earned my Master of Arts in Education. My passion is teaching middle school mathematics; I love working with that age group and my focus is to help all of my students realize and reach their fullest potentials in math. I aim to make my students' learning experiences with math positive and applicable to their lives. I also strive to make my classroom a place for students to grow just as much personally as they do academically.
